Opportunity Details

Feed the Homeless Run 2014

The Feed the Homeless Run (formally Midnight Run) doesn't happen at midnight and doesn't involve running, but it does help New Yorkers in need. Volunteers help organize, assemble, and distribute food, to homeless people throughout New York City.

Volunteers purchase and gather the supplies, split into teams and walk through the streets handing lunch bags with sandwiches and juice.

The packaging will take place at our main office and the distribution of items will take place in the area surrounding Penn Station - 34th Street to 20th Street on the West Side.

Volunteers will meet at 1011 First Avenue at 6:30 sharp then will walk through New York City delivering food.

Volunteers will be expected to purchase one food item (could be cheese, bread, juice, snacks, etc). Volunteers should expect to walk many blocks throughout Midtown rain or shine.
