Career Day Presenters
Learning to Work (LTW) is an in-depth job readiness and career exploration program within Innovation Diploma Plus High School. The LTW is designed to enhance the academic component of select Young Adult Borough Centers (YABCs) and Transfer Schools. LTW offers academic and student support, career and educational exploration, work preparation, skills development, and internships.
On March 12th, Innovation will be hosting their annual Career Day. Volunteers will be expected to discuss their career/field of work for 10 - 15 minutes to a small classroom of students. Each presenter should be able to stay for three periods.
The aim of Career Day is to show various levels of professions and fields. Examples of past professionals/fields include:
Personal Trainers
Law Enforcement
Choreography
Radiology
Culinary Arts
Additional Information: The more engaging the presentation, the better. Each classroom is equipped with a smart board and arrangements to use this equipment may be arranged. Professionals must be comfortable presenting in front of an audience of 15 – 21 year olds.
