Food Pantry Support: South Bronx
On June 23 2016 we opened a new food hub at our South Bronx Community Center, located at 402 E. 152nd Street.
From there Catholic Charities will distribute the produce to soup kitchens and other smaller operations in their organization that help feed residents who need food.The hub will serve as a warehouse type-location at which fresh produce and other food will be delivered.
1. Volunteers needed for Goya delivery:
- the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.Volunteers must have a commitment to service and be physically able to load, onload, and stock food items.
- Wednesdays from 5pm - 7pm. Volunteers should be comfortable working with seniors, and have a pleasant, friendly attitude.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
