Catholic Guardian Services: Mentor Foster Kids
Do you want to be a mentor to children in fostercare?
Catholic Guardian Services (CGS) is one of the largest foster care providers in New York State, serving over 1000 children in care annually throughout the NYC area.
CGS has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City to create a mentoring program known as A Guiding Hand for middle school children in foster care.
Children between the ages of 10 and 12 years, known as Littles, will be matched to a mentor known as Bigs. Together they will enjoy low cost activities across New York City.
This is a one year commitment for the mentor, meeting the mentee twice a month. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in child’s life. For more information about the program, please click here.
