2019-2020 LSA: Mom+Toddler Classroom Assistant (East Harlem)

Do you want to work with toddlers and mothers in a classroom setting? Help us work to carry out a curriculum that meets each child's individual needs!
LSA Family Health Services is located in East Harlem near the 116th 4/5/6 Subway line.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with a group of children (15 months – 3 years) and their mothers in a classroom setting. Work under the direction of the Program Director and with the team to carry out curriculum that meets the children’s individual needs. Flexibility and emotional stability are necessary to work with children and families in stressful situations, as well as having a sense of fun and enjoyment in work.
Hours needed: at least two mornings or afternoons a week.
Mondays thru Thursdays
9:30 – 11:30, 12:30 – 2:30
Bilingual (Spanish/English) helpful. 
LSA Family Health Service, founded by The Little Sisters of the Assumption in 1958, is a neighborhood-based nonprofit which delivers a holistic model of human services. We help families meet their most fundamental needs: food, clothing, healthcare, and a safe home. Through home visits, on-site services, support groups, classes and more, we help the most vulnerable achieve the wellness and strength they need to move forward.
