Wash Heights Food Pantry: Power Lifter

Do you want to do good and get an intense work out at the same time?
WHEFP (Washington Heights Ecumenical Food Pantry) is located in the vibrant Washington Heights community, where Dominican food and culture and immigrants from around the world join to create a unique sense of place. The pantry serves over 400 families per week from a basement storage space. Strong, energetic volunteers are needed to help move cases of food down into the storage space and to bring packed bags upstairs on pantry day. WHEFP is part of the Feeding Our Neighbors Programs, run by staff of Catholic Charities Community Services.
We are looking for a Food Pantry Power Lifter/Mover!

Help move cases of food weighing up to 50 pounds; a conveyor and stairs are involved
This drafty workspace in an older building can sometimes be extremely hot or cold; a tolerance for less than ideal temperatures is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
