2020 Homebound Seniors: Emergency Meal Delivery Volunteers
We need your help! Join our team at the Kennedy Center as we deliver food to seniors, the disabled, and our veterans across NYC.
Our staff will drive you to each location where you will help deliver 1-2 packages of food filled with essential grocery items. We make sure that everyone recieves a balanced box fllled with produce, grains, protiens and fresh produce.
Starting point: 34 W 134th St, New York
Schedule: Weekdays from 11am-2pm
Commitment: 3 times a year
What you will do:
- Help with loading food items into our vechile
- Assist us with contactless delivery to our vulnerable seniors
- Keep track of deliveries completed on our checklist
- Have a blast delivering hope and smiles to the people who need it most!
- Be able to lift 10 to 15 lbs
- Some apartment buildings have steps in front of the main door
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes! Our staff will wear CCNY gear and give you a light item to distinguish you as part of the team.
- Please wear a mask upon arrival. All our staff and clients will also be wearing one as we want everyone to be safe!
- Use our hand sanitizing stations frequently
