Telemundo Immigration "Know-Your-Rights" Phone Bank
Threats of immigration raids have caused many to live in constant fear. Fear to walk on the street, to go to work or to even be in their own house.
In response to recent announcements of raids and mass deportation, Catholic Charities is partnering with Telemundo to provide "Know-Your-Rights" information to some of New York’s most vulnerable populations in a televised phone bank. Volunteers will answer phone calls from immigrants who have questions regarding their rights when speaking with immigration officials at home, on the street, in a car, etc.
To be able to provide this important information to as many New Yorkers as possible, we need your help.
