Guild for the Blind: ESOL Spanish bilingual conversation partner
Help a student learn English! We are looking for a volunteer who is bilingual in Spanish/English volunteers to help our adult ESOL students. By being a conversation partner you help build their confidence in the language and make them more familiar with casual conversations. You can volunteer on-site or remotely from the comfort of your own home!
Schedule
By phone: Anytime or Day of the week. This schedule is made between you and the student.
On-Site: Friday 11:30-1pm

On-Site: 1011 First Ave b/w 55 and 56 street
What you will do
Converse with our student in a relaxed and supportive setting
Listen and help with pronunciation
Give helpful tips and encouraging feedback
Qualifications
Proficiency in speaking both Spanish and English clearly and confidently
Be a good listener
Enjoy helping others learn
