Group Leaders/Teaching Assistants
We are in need of retired teachers or college students to assist or teachers and group leaders at our COMPASS program -kindergarten to 5th grade participants. The volunteers would also assist with math and literacy. The flexible hours are between 3pm-6pm Monday-Fridays. The site is located at 159-36 Harlem River Drive. The Comprehensive After School System of NYC (COMPASS NYC) comprises more than 900 programs serving young people enrolled in grades K-12. Through its network of providers, COMPASS NYC offers high quality programs with a strong balance of academics, recreation, enrichment and cultural activities to support and strengthen the overall development of young people.
