2026 CCCS Project Cool Fan Distribution
Catholic Charities Community Services Feeding Our Neighbors provides emergency food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout New York City. Volunteers help ensure our pantry operations run smoothly by welcoming clients, organizing distributions, and supporting staff as we serve our neighbors with dignity and compassion. Bilingual volunteers are especially appreciated, as they help us better serve the diverse communities that rely on our programs.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist clients during pantry distribution
- Help organize and distribute food and essential items
- Manage client lines and provide directions as needed
- Carry and move boxes or supplies when necessary
- Support staff with general pantry operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in busy environments
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Comfortable interacting with large groups of people
- Bonus: Spanish or Mandarin language skills are highly valued to help us better serve members of our community, but are not required.
